Si Sapsford
Senior Lecturer
As a member of the UEL fine art staff, and senior lecturer Si Sapsford delivers across all three years with a focus on first year seminars and projects. She is a module leader, co-leading the first year programme with lecturer Amanda Francis, running the weekly seminars, which introduce students to principles of fine art practice, a forum to showcase students artwork and discuss any related ideas or concepts. As a cohort Students have an opportunity to build a sense of community, while individually developing a capacity to articulate ideas. I also run a series springboard projects to induct students to our workshops, in order to enhance their skills and confidence. Uel Fine Art has been at the forefront of integrating new technologies 2D and 3D printing with traditional sculptural and printing practices.

Research Field
Si Sapsford is a British artist, who has exhibited both in the UK and abroad. Her work investigates both the human condition and the political world we live in, through various materials including mechanised domestic furniture. She employs a variety of sculptural methods raising issues such as migration, domestic violence, poverty, patriarchy and health, reacting to current events as they unfold.
