Senior lecturer engaged in research and teaching in Education and Multilingualism at the Cass School of Education and Communities.

    Ratha's professional responsibilities include teaching and supporting the academic progress of undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Cass School of Education and Communities.  Her areas of research interest include: culturally inclusive pedagogy and linguistically responsive education for multilingual learners.

    Co-researcher (and England lead) in an international research project to identify effective pedagogies of in-service teachers in culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms in England, Germany, Finland and the United States.
    Lead researcher in a project to deliver multi-modal support for in-service teachers in linguistically and culturally diverse classrooms in England 
    Ongoing doctoral research that investigates the possible explanations for patterns in minority ethic achievement in higher education, and beyond.
