Mr Richard Leinfellner

Senior Lecturer

My career in interactive entertainment started as an assembly language programmer in the 80’s. Since then I have had the opportunity to design, program, produce, and lead over 40 original IP & licensed games.

Many of the titles produced by teams which I led became top 10 commercial hits in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Having spent 30 years making games I now teach.

My focus is on teaching under / post graduates the skills needed for game creation and professional practice (employability). I also maintain a private practice which works with businesses on technology driven innovation.

As module leader on “Professional practice” module for Level 5 students, I am responsible for designing, delivering and assessing the module, which is part on the BA/BSc Games course.

I am also module leader on the Level 5 programming module where I teach C# & Unity programming for Level 5 students.

For level 6 students I supervise dissertations and projects
