Fahimeh Jafari received her PhD in Electronic and Computer Systems from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2015. She worked on analysis and management of communication in On-Chip Networks to find out if the design of communication networks between devices on a chip can meet the criteria of real-time applications. The research progressed to providing a Design Optimization Tool for NoC designers to provide effective guarantees of real-time performance for applications with different priorities via intelligent sharing of resources.
In 2015, she joined, as Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Liverpool Hope University and, in less than one year, became a Lecturer at Liverpool Hope University and received the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). In 2016, Fahimeh moved to UEL as a Lecturer and later became a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for MSc Computer Science. She is supervising a number of BSc, MSc, and PhD students in the subject of Data Communication, Big Data and Machine learning.
Overview
Fahimeh has more than 10 years’ experience in teaching, research, supervision of students and collaboration with research groups, projects, and companies such as Techbuyer, Intel, DPFE, and Ericsson. She has published over 20 papers in international conferences and journals in the area of Data Communication & Networking, AI & Machine learning, and Optimisation. She has served on a number of technical program committees of international conferences, such as ICIME, NoCArc, MES, NOC. She has been an active reviewer for a number of conferences/journals such as JPDC and Recent Patents on Computer Science.
