Leader of the Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning (PALS) research lab.
Darion’s research work is in the broad field of Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning. His main research interest is the integration of remotely sensed data (high resolution imagery and/or laser scanning) into mobile mapping systems, to facilitate various rapid response and monitoring applications, specifically in relation to natural hazards. Darion is currently active in the development of algorithms for automatic surface registration.
