Dr. Darion Grant BSc MSc FHEA

Senior Lecturer

Leader of the Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning (PALS) research lab.

UEL east london aerial
Darion Grant is a Senior Lecturer in Geomatics/Surveying within the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering (ACE) at University of East London (UEL). Darion has over 15 years’ experience in Geomatics and has been involved in teaching, consulting, industry and research projects across the world, including the UK, USA and the Caribbean.

Darion’s research work is in the broad field of Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning. His main research interest is the integration of remotely sensed data (high resolution imagery and/or laser scanning) into mobile mapping systems, to facilitate various rapid response and monitoring applications, specifically in relation to natural hazards. Darion is currently active in the development of algorithms for automatic surface registration.
