As the Programme Leader for the MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and the PgCert in Coaching Psychology Supervision, I am responsible for the academic leadership, management and assessment, as well as for the strategic planning.

Dr Andrea Giraldez-Hayes is Senior Lecturer of Coaching Psychology and the Programme Leader for the MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and the PgCert in Coaching Psychology Supervision.
She is an experienced coach, consultant and academic with an international reputation who helps individuals and organisations to flourish and thrive. Andrea has completed a PhD in Philosophy and Education (UNED), an MSc in Applied Psychology (Conversion – Robert Gordon University), a PG Dip in e-learning (UNED), a PG Cert in the Delivery of Soft Skills and Experiential Learning (University of Roehampton) and diplomas in Positive Psychology, Coaching, Mindfulness and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
With a background in music and arts, she has worked as a university lecturer and consultant for Departments of Education and Culture in Spain, Italy, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina. She has also been in charge of the Arts, Culture and Citizenship Programme for the Ibero American Organisation for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) between 2007 and 2017.
Over the years, she has developed expertise in coaching and positive psychology, with a particular interest in wellbeing, education, arts and social justice. Andrea researched, published and lectured on these topics both in Higher Education and other organisational settings.
She is currently Associate Editor for Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice and member of the advisory board for the International Journal of Coaching Psychology. She is also a member of the Special Group in Coaching Psychology (BPS) and the International Accreditations Committee for EMCC.
Always committed to social causes, Andrea regularly works as a volunteer coach for Parent Gym, UpRising, Lon-Art and the Humanitarian Coaching Network. Clients and peers describe her as an inspirational lecturer and empowering coach.
