Mr David Dixon

Senior Lecturer in Sports Nutrition and Exercise Physiology

Prior to becoming an academic I worked as Team Leader on a Local Authority run Exercise Referral Programme which included community Cardiac and Pulmonary Exercise Rehabilitation. During this time I also worked as a tutor for a number of exercise training providers delivering Level 3 and Level 4 subjects covering exercise and chronic ill health. I presently teach post graduate and undergraduate Sport and Exercise Science at University of East London. I am currently pursuing a PhD , along with various governing body accreditation through the supervised experience scheme. I have worked with professional and amateur athletes/teams at International, National and Regional levels; providing Sports Nutrition/Physiology support and skills-based workshops for individuals, team/clubs/schools and parents, as well as to Talented Athlete Development programmes.
