I attained a first class BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Following my degree I worked as a Podiatrist in the NHS with an interest in clinical education. I completed an MSc in Advanced Professional Practice and joined UEL in 2008. I have a PgCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and was awarded a Senior Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy. I am a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am a member of College of Podiatry Admissions Tutors Forum.

Claire's current research involves the evaluation of a student led peer mentorship scheme. The project provides a comparative analysis of mentorship schemes across professional programmes within the school, namely podiatry and sports therapy.
