Will Bishop-Stephens is an award winning Animation Director.
His films have been nominated for the Short Film Grand Jury prize at Sundance, the Grand Jury prize at AFI, Best British Animation at Edinburgh International Film Festival, and his work has won prizes at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Animae Caribe and London International Animation Festival.
His independent films screen around the world and he has animated for a diverse range of industry sectors including music, health, education, media, heritage and commercials.
Will has been Programme Leader for Animation and Illustration at the University of East London since 2014. Prior to this he has been visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art, UCA Farnham, Westminster University and Plymouth University. His students have won prestigious awards including BAFTAS and they are recognised by industry experts, such as Aardman and Channel 4 for their inventive work.

As well as teaching, Will makes independent films on his own and with collaborator Christopher Eales, under the alias 'The Name is Not Important'.
Their latest project, a short split screen Stop-Motion Animation called 'Two Films About Loneliness' was completed in 2014 and has since toured the worlds Film and Animation Festivals. It premiered at the 'Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen' an experimental film festival in Germany, it had its UK premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival, at the respected McLaren Awards Screenings, and had it's US premiere at SUNDANCE 2015.

Will’s most recent film ‘Two Films About Loneliness’ is currently being screened around the world including at the Edinburgh Film Festival, acclaimed Sundance Festival and Melbourne Film Festival.
The film's debut was at Germany's premier experimental film festival, Oberhausen International Film Festival.
It will be released to Vimeo late 2015.
He has travelled around the world to give talks and attend Q&A sessions about this most recent project with his co-director Christopher Eales.
