Sophie Barr

Lecturer - Photography Contextual Studies

Arts and Digital Industries (ADI)

I am a practising artist and researcher who uses photography, drawing, print, video, audio, web and installation to explore the vernacular aesthetics of the globalised city and the relationships between material and digital cultures. I regularly exhibit my work in London and beyond.

I hold a Master’s in Fine Art with Learning and Teaching in Higher Education as well as a Master’s in Cultural and Critical Studies and I am a Fellow of the HEA. Beginning 2016 I will be working towards a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art within the School of ADI.

You can find out more about me and recent work on my blog Intellectual Simulation or my personal website.
