<span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 14.2667px;">Mathew Brown is a part-time (0.4FTE) lecturer teaching on the BSc (Hons) Product Design programme at UEL.  </span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Mathew gained his BA (Hons) Degree in Product Design at Ravensbourne in 1999 and became a qualified teacher in 2008 being awarded his PGCE in post 16 education from Greenwich University.  In 2014, </span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Mathew gained a </span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">post-graduate MA qualification in Professional Practice (Design) from Kingston University.  His </span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">MA thesis explored: "how might 3D printing, open-sourcing, and co-design, improve conditions of dementia".</span><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 14.2667px;"><o:p>In addition to the position at UEL, Mathew is also programme leader for a 3D Design Foundation Degree Award at another Institution and has previously worked as </o:p></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">visiting senior lecturer for 8 years on the BA (Hons) Product Design programmes at UCA (Kent & Farnham). <br></span></p><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13.3333px;">In addition to his educational and academic background, Mathew has also worked as a self-employed industrial design practitioner working on a diverse range of consultancy and manufacturing based projects.</span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13.3333px;">  </span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13.3333px;">Key clients have so far included:  ASB Architects, Herman Miller, John Lewis PLC, and The Conran Shop.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;"> </span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"><br></span><span style="color: rgb(86, 86, 86); font-family: Museo, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Mathew continues to develop his own professional practice and academic research</span>cturer teaching on the BSc (Hons) Product Design Programme
