Brown is engaged in an ongoing sculptural practice that combines an eclectic
range of materials and form, with a process that is as playful as it is
considered. Immersed in a pursuit of process and metamorphosis of materials the
work bears the scars of the making. Built up over time from an accumulation of
materials, the detritus of his landscape fuse with more traditional materials
to form dualistic forms. Spatially involving, and founded in a formal approach,
the objects strive for gravitas while almost careering into ruin.
