Richard Avery BSc, MSc, CSci, AFHEA. Having joined UEL in 2018, as part of the Technical Team, Richard performs a range of operational tasks, which support learning, teaching, research and enterprise activity within the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience.
Richard gained a BSc in Sports Science, followed by an MSc in Applied Exercise Physiology, both from the University of Brighton. He is a professional member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
Richard has completed a number of additional qualifications and certifications, which include being awarded the following: BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist, Chartered Scientist (CSci), UK Anti-Doping Accredited Advisor, Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football and First Aid at Work and Automatic External Defibrillator. He is also an Associate member of The Physiological Society and an Associate member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association.
