Upcoming Events

In the coming months TERC will be launching a podcast series. This series will include the centre director, John Morrison, sitting down for in-depth discussions with leading terrorism experts about their life and work. This podacst will provide the listener with the opportunity to get an easily accessible insight from the world's experts on some of the key subjects and themes within the study of terrorism. This will provide an excellent resource for students and scholars of terrorism and extremism, as well as anyone else interested in the area. For further information in relation to upcoming episodes and guests be sure to revisit the website.

Each year TERC will host at least one conference or large workshop. The inaugural conference will take place in mid-2018. The date and theme of this conference is yet to be finalised. However, it will take place in UEL’s University Square Stratford campus. Please return to this site, and check our Twitter page for the most up to date information about this conference and other future events.

In 2017 TERC will be launching the Virtual Fellow Scheme. This is an adaptation of the traditional visiting fellow system in place at many universities worldwide. However, in contrast to the traditional system the virtual fellow will not need to be physically present within the university for the entire duration of their fellowship. This scheme will successful applicants to engage with the Centre fellows on a virtual platform, as well as sharing their work with our external stakeholders. In concrete terms the virtual fellow will also produce a number of key outputs across their fellowship. Central to this will be the opportunity to collaborate with TERC fellows in ongoing or future research. The culmination of the fellowship will be marked by the Virtual Fellow giving a keynote address at the TERC conference. This will be live-streamed on the website as well as being stored for future users.
