Split across our two London campuses, Docklands and Stratford- the heart of east London - our School of Health, Sport and Bioscience is a successful provider of public health, biosciences, physiotherapy, podiatry and sports science courses.
We are incredibly student-centered, which is evident through our committed and supportive teaching staff who adopt an open door policy to ensure high rates of student success.
Our students want to make a difference in the world and we're here to help them do exactly that.
Welcome from the Head of School
On behalf of the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience, it is my great pleasure to welcome you into our community.
We're a diverse School housing subjects across four different disciplines; Applied Sport and Exercise Sciences, Bioscience, Health and Professional Health Sciences. Within these areas you will find our expert staff who go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our students feel supported throughout their study right at the start. From meeting you at an open day to watching you graduate, we'll be there for you.
I'm extremely proud of how hard the School works to ensure that we continue to strive at providing an excellent quality learning and teaching experience for our students. We understand the need to be responsive to developments in technology, pedagogy and students needs which is evident through our continued investment in new facilities, like our new teaching laboratories at Stratford Campus. We're not only proud of our partnerships and the research we do, we're really proud of producing work-ready employable graduates.
What we care about
Not forgetting our students
UEL offers our students amazing opportunities to work with our local communities. I’ve seen over the years the transformative effect this has had. It’s brought cumulative benefits to our students and to UEL as a whole.Dr Marcia Wilson , Head of Sports Sciences
