Alumni

Many of our alumni continue to play a role in the life of our school. We have kept in touch with over 70% of the students who have graduated with us from degree to doctoral level. Some of these are now working in the local area and contribute to the experience of our current students through professional involvement in teaching and social work programmes. Others support our current student through induction and contribute to teaching, study support and mentoring.  Many of our alumni are based in the UK but they also extend to Zimbabwe, USA, Trinidad, Thailand, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Portugal, Pakistan, Malta, Nigeria, Greece, Japan, Kuwait, Kenya, Ghana, Germany, Denmark, France, Dubai, Egypt, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Canada, Austria and Australia. 

The oldest recorded graduate from our school graduated in 1971 and is now a School Principle in New Zealand. Many of our alumni work in local schools and many have progressed through their careers to become senior leaders in education. Some jobs on record for Cass graduates are; Teacher, Head Teacher, Educational Psychologist, Youth Worker, Welfare Officer, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Social Worker, Family Support Worker, Community Coach, Company Director.

We are very proud of the achievements of our graduates both throughout their study with us and through their later working lives and careers. We value the continuing relationships we have with our alumni and their contact and contribution enriches the experience of all who study and work in our school. 

Along with other UEL graduates, our alumni receive 12  Enews Letters, 2 copies of our alumni magazine  Now and Then and other regular update throughout the year. They are  able to apply for an Alumni Network passport card to come back and use facilities at the University as well as attend any events we are holding.

Professional practice partnerships

We have a wide range of strong partnerships that support our students to become outstanding practitioners in the fields of education, social work, early childhood and youth work. These partnerships provide opportunities for students, UEL tutors and partners to engage with current research and use this to underpin their practice. They also ensure that our curricula and pedagogies are aligned with the demands of the workplace and employer needs. We have developed employer engagement activities at all levels of study in order that our students can gain knowledge and skills directly related to their chosen careers.

Collaborative partnerships

We have divers collaborative partnerships with a growing number of institutions and organisations across the world. We have an established track record for working with all types of organization in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Our international collaborative partnerships provide opportunities for students to travel abroad to study and widen their cultural experiences. They also enable international students to study with us in London or to study our courses in their own country. All our collaborative partnerships, local, national and international, are based on processes that allow our partners to meet specific and real needs. We have the facility to be responsive and flexible whilst maintaining quality and standards.
