Why The School of Arts and Digital Industries?
The School of Arts and Digital Industries at the University of East London is a forward-thinking School in the thriving artistic, cultural hotbed of east London. Our vision is to be an internationally recognised leader in socially engaged and multidisciplinary arts. We aim to be at the heart of the cultural life of our local communities and of London itself: providing some of the key talent, skills and ideas that will help shape the future of the UK’s creative economy.
The School’s breadth of arts, fashion, media, performance and humanities subject areas are grounded in world-class research, and creative excellence, and framed by extensive community and industry collaboration. Our academic staff create a diverse and innovative learning environment that will not only challenge you, but also expose you to a rich mix of culture and knowledge. Programmes are taught in purpose-built facilities to ensure you have a full suite of resources available to you throughout your study.

Lucy Johnson , BA (Hons) Fashion Design, graduate
They challenged us and prepared us for whatever opportunities we were given along the way. Looking back now, it was a fun and emotional experience that I would recommend to anyone thinking about a career in fashion.
UEL has been an incredible experience for me. I came into my own as a writer here, and as a person, too. UEL gave me the confidence, experience and knowledge to pursue the things I am passionate about. It values so much more than just marks.Samantha Dodd , BA (Hons) Creative and Professional Writing
