    Strategic and Reflective Leadership in Education

    This module focuses on how leaders need to strategically reflect on the change they need to lead in their contexts. This includes the ethical considerations you need to make to ensure that you are able to lead change effectively and lead your team(s) with integrity and skill.

    Developing Leadership Capability for Change

    You will explore how you can employ coaching and mentoring alongside cognitive leadership approaches to lead change in a variety of educational institutions. You will learn what the key skills are to coach and mentor and how to embed these strategies into your practice to ensure that you are able to lead change effectively. (L7 Coaching & Mentoring Certification can be gained with no additional study or assessment through dual accreditation with CMI for this module.)

    Strategic Leadership – Leading Wellbeing and Resilience (Mental Wealth)

    You will develop your strategic leadership skills to develop and understanding of how national policy needs to be responded to, and how to shape this policy effectively within an education context. This module has a particular focus on wellbeing and mental health of both you and your team(s) within educational leadership context.

    Leading Change

    You will develop a clear understanding of how to consider different leadership styles to enable them to effectively lead change within education contexts. You will develop innovative approaches of how to implement change effectively within educational contexts. (L7 Strategic Management and Leadership Certification can be gained with no additional study or assessment through dual accreditation with CMI for this module.)

    Applied Research Project in Education

    For this dissertation unit (60 credits), you will develop an understanding of different leadership styles and approaches to leading change through a small-scale research project relevant to the context you are working in. You will identify an area of professional concern and undertake a project to research, enact and evaluate improvements in that area.
