UEL's partnership activity is anchored in Egypt through our partnership with the very prestigious Ain Shams University.
Egypt is an important Transnational Education gateway to the Middle East and the rest of Africa.
Ain Shams University
Ain Shams University is a leading public institution in Egypt, known for its academic and research excellence. The University of East London (UEL) partnership with Ain Shams began in 2017 through the British Council Newton Institutional Links project. This collaboration led to the validation of three dual award degree programs in September 2018 within Ain Shams' Faculty of Engineering.
The partnership has since expanded to include programs from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, growing from 71 students in the first year to around 1,500 students across 16 dual award programs today. This dynamic collaboration continues to strengthen academic ties and foster educational innovation.
