Research, Impact and Innovation in School of Childhood and Social Care
At the School of Childhood and Social Care (C&SC), our research is driven by a commitment to advancing knowledge and practice across three key thematic areas:
- Psychology and Human Development: Conducting research on mental health, child development, and human behaviour to inform practice and interventions.
- Social Work, Counselling and Social Care: Investigating the complexities of care systems and their impact on individual and societal well-being.
- Education: Exploring innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and support for individuals across different life stages.
By employing interdisciplinary approaches, our research aims to generate evidence-based solutions that promote well-being, social justice, and inclusion. We prioritise collaboration with stakeholders, including practitioners and policymakers, to ensure that our findings translate into impactful practices and policies that enhance the lives of those we serve. Through this commitment, we strive to advance knowledge and foster positive change in society

We are one of London's leading centres for teacher training, offering highly successful programmes for Primary, Secondary and Post-Compulsory levels.
OLIVE
UEL offers a 12-week course for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. The course introduces refugees and asylum seekers to Higher Education.
Online Harms and Cybercrime Unit
The Online Harms and Cybercrime Unit is a leading research centre of excellence, specialising in cybercrime and cybercriminology at UEL.
