Fighting Fraud with Artificial Intelligence
Fighting Fraud with Artificial Intelligence
Project overview
We worked with the tech and insurance industry to create an innovative patented AI-based software to expose potential fraud which improves customer experience and ultimately reduces the cost of insurance premiums.
The UK insurance market has seen a year-on-year surge in insurance fraud. With estimated annual costs to the public sector of £40 billion, there is a real need for explainable Artificial Intelligence based systems to assess the credibility of insurance claims.
The internationally leading research and knowledge exchange was in collaboration with industry partners, Intelligent Voice and Strenuus.
Insurance companies were stakeholders, to ensure the solution met end-user and market requirements. It was supported by one of the four flagship InnovateUK projects and attracted investment from the two companies.
Customers are seeing the benefit of this game-changing technology. Most notable early adopters include the world’s largest software vendor, the largest US retailer and the global leader in outsourced insurance claims management.
