Notes:
MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) programmes do not give a final classification, so a 'pass' would be acceptable.
On some degree certificates, the classification mentions two (or three parts. Part I (or Parts I and II) usually refer to compulsory language studies such as English and Hindi, or a regional language, while Part II (or Part III) refers to the major areas of study.
The standard pattern for a bachelor's degree used to be two years of full-time study following 10 years of schooling and two years of intermediate study.
The two-year bachelor's degree was offered at some universities in West Bengal up to 1999/2000, but it was gradually phased out in the other states starting in the 1960s. The present system is commonly referred to as the 10+2+3 pattern, requiring three years of study for a bachelor's degree in arts, science and commerce. (Source: Nokut)
A provisional degree certificate can be accepted; however, it must be accompanied by final/official transcripts.
