Hope Beales is our Regional Manager based in the UK, who is looking after the Sub-Saharan (SSA) Africa region. As a former international student in the UK, Hope understands how challenging it can be to work on your application and start a degree in a new environment. Entry requirements
Undergraduate
Students must have one of the following:
- Until 1996: WAEC A levels (3 grades at C or above are recommended)
- Year 1 of a recognised Nigerian degree course with GPA 2.6+
- An Ordinary National Diploma (OND/ND), lower credit pass
- A University Diploma (or, if appropriate, from a recognised College), second class lower/ credit pass
- Teacher's Certificate Grade II with at least 2 credit passes (until 1998)
- A National Certificate of Education, lower credit pass
A recognised International Foundation course:
- From Westerfield College with grade C (60-69, fairly good) overall, including a B in key subjects, in a relevant foundation stream, and no fails
- From Global International College with a C overall, including a C in the key subject and no fails.
- From British Lighthouse College - with a C overall and no fails.
Postgraduate
Students must have one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum second class lower from a recognised Nigerian University. OR Postgraduate Diploma (credit pass) NB - Some programmes may require a second class upper division.
English language requirements
To study at UEL you must demonstrate that your English level is at the standard for university study. We accept a number of different English language qualifications/tests for entry onto our courses, with IELTS being the most common.
