University can be a life-changing experience, and we ensure that our students get the support they need along their journey. Our Centre for Student Success has a dedicated Career Coaching team, as well as one to-one advice from our academic tutors, study skills sessions, mental wellbeing support, and peer advice from recent graduates to help students stay on track. We’ll advise and encourage them from the moment they apply to the day they graduate – and beyond.

We understand that this has the potential to be a distressing and worrying situation for you, so as a university we are committed to providing you with all the information and support you need.

On top of the support and guidance you can access through GSM, we have a number of student support services to give you the assistance you need, these include:

  • Student Wellbeing Services: emotional support for students provided through drop-in sessions with a Wellbeing Advisor and anonymous online help (Big White Wall).
  • Disability and Dyslexia Team: confidential specialist guidance for students who have or believe they have a disability, dyslexia or other specific learning difference.
  • Student Money Advice and Rights Team: advice, information and guidance on all aspects of government and University funding.

All of these services can be accessed via our Student Hub on: 020 8223 4444

These teams are aware of the situation with GSM and will be on hand to provide advice and support.

At the Business School at the University of East London, we teach in a way that ensures students are ready for the world of work when they graduate, with the skills that employers need and the confidence to follow their own path. Our courses are rooted in practical experience, internships, case studies, workshops, guest lectures and business tours, but we also equip students with the tools to think strategically, creatively and critically.

We have strong industry connections, including our recent collaboration with Amazon Web Services, and many of our courses are accredited. We offer routes with placements, giving our students practical experience to compliment their study and providing them with a head start after graduation.

The majority of our courses start towards the end of September, but you will be able to enrol on your course prior to this and begin your studies with us once your semester at GSM has concluded. Once you have been offered a place, you will be sent further information about your timetable and induction schedule.

You can view our academic calendar at uel.ac.uk/student-life/key-dates

While there is still plenty of time, some of our courses do have limited spaces so it is always best to secure your place as soon as possible.
