Celebrating 45 years of Law at the University of East London: Join our live webinar 'In Conversation with Lady Hale'

Join our live webinar in conversation with Lady Hale on Wednesday 30 September 2020. This event is organised by the Legal Advice Centre. Keynote by Baroness Hale who served as President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom from 2017 to 2020.

Lady Hale is the former President of the UK Supreme Court. Hear her speak about the importance of diversity in the legal sector.

Programme of Events:

2:30pm: Professor John Strawson will provide a brief background to our pioneering Law department which began in 1975 to help those from minority backgrounds access the profession.

2:45pm: Imran Khan QC studied law at UEL and is one of only three criminal solicitor advocate QCs in England and Wales. He will say a few words about growing up in East London and becoming one of the most famous human rights practitioners in the country.

3:00pm: Keynote Speech from Lady Hale.

4:00pm: Question and Answer session with Lady Hale. Organised by the Legal Advice Centre
