Students' Union annual meeting
Your invitation to vote to shape the future of the Students' Union
Would you like to see a new and improved Students' Union? Students are invited to the Students' Union annual meeting to vote on a proposal to reform the Union's structure. Taking place at 12.30pm on Tuesday 4 February, the meeting will go through proposed amendments and ask you to vote in favour.
The amendments will enable the creation of new paid part-time student roles, for example, student experience, activities/events or campaign reps. The role would most likely to be for 14 hours per week during term time, and paid at the London Living Wage plus holiday pay. Seeking employment to fit alongside your course can be difficult, which is why the Students' Union is keen to support you and create opportunities to develop experiences that mean that your CV stands out to graduate employers.
We also want to ensure students have the best possible experience at UEL which is why we want more students working to support student engagement and improve students' experiences.
Your Student Officers will also be attending so it's a great opportunity to ask them about what they are doing for you.
All students are invited. To join us, you can either come to the EB.2.43 at the Docklands campus or CC.1.01 at the Stratford campus for 12.30pm. We expect the meeting will run for 30-45 minutes. To say thank you for making the time to come along, the first 200 students who attend the meeting will have the chance to win prizes and Amazon vouchers.
