‘Ideation’ is the creative process of generating and developing new ideas. A great session for those who want to start a business but are yet to find their lightbulb moment.
During this workshop you will learn how easy it is to spot the best opportunities right in front of your eyes. The workshop will include a fun, interactive "Apprentice" style challenge
You will have 1 hour to work as a team to create a viable business idea putting everything you have learnt during the session into practice!
This workshop is really for anyone who wants to challenge themselves to think differently and tap into their creativity. You will leave with techniques which can be adopted both inside and outside your studies and who knows you could leave with a business idea?

Think you know your customer? Will your business make money? Learn how to find what your target market are really willing to pay and avoid costly mistakes made due to poor market research!
Learn what is happening in the market to validate need and trends. Moving away from making emotional decisions and understanding your customer’s needs and what they will be happy to pay for.
Having an idea is the first step, validating its originality and ability to make you money is another. We will cover the various forms of market research in this interactive session- helping you gather and look for key information to help you make the most informed decision.

Following on from our Market Research Workshop, you will now have a clearer idea of who your target customer(s) are, we will explore the ways to best communicate and sell to this group- this is known as the route to market. Each segment will have a variety of strategies that are proven to work best for the target group(s). By analysing how your favourite brands communicate with you, we will create a tailored marketing strategy for you and your business- as well as methods of evaluating their effectiveness.

WARNING! This workshop is guaranteed to be intense and practical!
The session will take you through a crash course in the financial planning and management tools you will need for your business in your first 6 – 12 Months. From pricing to breakeven to cash flows we will use practical examples to show you the difference between these tools and most importantly how to use them. We will also attempt to look beyond the numbers and spreadsheets and share with you how you can use these document on a day to day basis in your planning, forecasting, marketing, sales, the list goes on….. You will leave with knowledge, confidence and the tools to get you started and see you through your first £50,000 or two!

This informative session will provide an introductory overview of what you need to do to fulfil your tax responsibilities as a start-up business. We will cover the basics of tax and national insurance for those of you considering to become either a sole trader or a limited company and most importantly the key records you will need to keep from day one. You should leave the workshop with confidence in what you need to complete and when.

Develop a targeted sales pitch, preparing yourself to effectively talk about yourself and your company. Together we'll work on curating a strategic outreach plan to help you develop your network and explore useful tools and techniques to help you make that first sale.

How do you know where your business is going if there is no plan, people, resources money or directions to get you there? This workshop takes a practical approach to business planning with focussed, interactive exercises around the key considerations for you and your business.
Business Planning is such a vital element at every stage of business development however why is it most entrepreneurs claim to never have written one? During this workshop we will explore they key elements of a business plan as well as its purpose, form and audience. Come prepared with an understand of what your business idea is and where you might like to go and you will leave the workshop with a clear vision for your business and a roadmap for the next 6-12 months.
