We Are East London: a creative network
Visit The SourceEast London Arts is more than a place of study - it's a community. Rooted in the heart of east London, our connections span from grassroots artists to major international institutions. We collaborate across industries to nurture talent, foster creativity, and shape the future of the arts.
Between People Gallery
The Between People Gallery (previously known as Way Out East) opened in 2019, and expanded in 2022 as part of a £1m renovation at the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering, the gallery showcases student and external work in regular exhibitions.
Between People aims to explore creativity to its fullest: without limitation.
The quality of the artists that we are helping to shape reflects the enviable standards of teaching offered by our state-of-the-art facilities and distinguished practitioners in UEL's Architecture and Design and Visual Arts subject areas.
The gallery is also the winner of the Outstanding Initiative in Community Cohesion at the East London Community Heroes 2023 award. The commendation recognises community organisations that bring people together from different ages and backgrounds together to tackle issues in the local area.
