Working with our secondary school partners, we offer interactive activities to students across years seven to eleven. These activities motivate and support students' progression into further and higher education through positive on- and off-campus experiences.
Engagement with the different year groups encourages students to consider their development with confidence, along with providing practical skills and knowledge to help them.
We work in partnership with UEL academics, student ambassadors and student support services to deliver workshops that are relevant, specific and challenging.
Taster days are available for groups of up to 60 year seven to eleven students. The days are held on a UEL campus and last either a whole or half day.
The days include the following sessions:
- Introduction to higher education quiz, pathways and progression routes
- a Q&A with current UEL undergraduates
- a tour of the campus
- course-specific sessions on, for example, sports, business, engineering, health and social care and arts (depending on availability)
Introduction to higher education sessions
These sessions are delivered either at a UEL campus or on school premises. They are an opportunity to introduce higher education to school students.
Our team, accompanied by a UEL undergraduate, offer presentations to specific year groups on life at UEL, with case studies to inspire and motivate students as they make decisions about their future.
