Engage with UEL Research and UEL Enterprise
Knowledge Dock is home to the University’s Research, Innovation and Enterprise department. UEL is an innovative academic community, delivering high quality research that is impactful, intellectually stimulating, socially relevant and for public good.
UEL was rated the top modern university in London for research by the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) and has built on this by doubling its return of world-leading research to the subsequent Research Excellence Framework (REF) in 2014. UEL’s Research and Development Support team, supports collaboration between UEL researchers and the business community.
UEL Enterprise strongly encourage collaboration between external organisations and UEL’s entrepreneurial community. The Enterprise team frequently host educational and informative workshops and events which are open to all students, alumni and Knowledge Dock businesses.

Within the Knowledge Dock business and Innovation Centre all kinds of learning, development and support are welcomed. Based in various locations across the centre, several professional collaborative working spaces are available for students to work in at no cost, with great thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation. These facilities have been subsidised by The Jack Petchey Foundation in their continuing support of student development and success. These facilities are newly designed with advanced technology to use, sophisticated in atmosphere and perfect for co-working.

The University site is also situated at Cyprus DLR station meaning whichever mode of transport your guests are joining us with, they will have no trouble finding us with ease.
