Employers

Work in partnership with our Employer Engagement Team to promote opportunities and connect with our students.

Careers and employers

UEL is located in the middle of Western Europe’s largest regeneration area, with technology and creative industries increasingly drawn to the exciting possibilities of East London.  The world financial centre of Canary Wharf is also on our doorstep.

We connect with a wide range of local and national partners to provide our students with mentoring opportunities, work placements and internships, part time work alongside their studies and graduate level employment.

Mentoring, Work Placements, Part Time Work and Graduate Level roles

Our civic engagement vision is critical to providing students with the experience and skills that are increasingly in demand by today's employers.

Through providing volunteering opportunities and programmes like London Scholars, our students pursue their academic studies on real world projects that engage them in problem solving and working in diverse environments. This helps them to develop the softer communication skills that employers value.

    Real world skills

Our commitment to Learning by Doing means that students leave UEL ready for the workplace with a good degree and the skills to hit the ground running.

Our students have undertaken placements in a wide range of settings and a broad spectrum of industries. Organisations who have hosted placements include: the NHS, Endemol,  Sage Publications, Rendall and Rittner, East Thames Group, Adecco Group, London City Airport, Angela Mortimer PLC, Enfield Council and The Royal Opera House.
