Dzaflo ‘Flo’ Larkai is a pro basketballer, currently playing for London Lions and Team GB. Prior to returning to England, he spent several years playing in Japan’s JBL league, where he was a 3-time champion and he has spent time playing in Spain and the USA.
Flo has a proven track record of success on the court, overcoming numerous obstacles to achieve his dream of becoming a professional basketball player and winning championships in countries around the world.
He came to UEL to study Sport and Exercise Science, giving him a unique opportunity to improve his theoretical understanding of fitness while playing professionally for the Lions.
UEL’s close connection to the Lions – many current and past players have studied here – ensures Flo is able to balance his commitments, and his studies are giving him the knowledge he needs as he looks ahead to a future in coaching.
Flo has already spent time travelling the world as a coach to young players, and he hopes to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of basketball stars, inspiring them as others inspired him.
