Graduate prospects
Our digital media undergraduate students have gone on to jobs in television, film, journalism, publishing, advertising and public relations as well as careers in games design and production. The skills and knowledge learnt in their media studies have enabled some students to become successful freelancers or start their own businesses.
One of our digital media graduates went on to become an editor of The Sun, Britain's biggest-selling daily newspaper. Another of our alumni became the editor of The Irish Post within three years of graduating. Other graduates have gone on to pursue work at ITN, and to write for major TV soap operas.

You can hire equipment free of charge to help you with your media studies. You can hire advanced video equipment (camcorders, tripods, lighting kits, steady cams, rifle microphones and SQN mixers), photographic equipment (DSLR cameras, full-frame film cameras, tripods, lighting kits and lenses), music equipment (PA kits, amplifiers, electric and acoustic guitars, basses, microphones, advanced synthesizers). For games, you can hire gaming laptops, usability equipment, heart rate monitors, eye-tracking hardware, VR headsets and cameras.
