Art and Design Postgraduate Study
Art and Design Postgraduate Study
Through their creative work, our Art and Design students are encouraged to explore issues related to diversity and inclusion, such as identity, representation, and social justice. They are challenged to consider the power of art and design in shaping cultural attitudes and beliefs and to consider the role of creative professionals in promoting positive social change.
In addition, the Art and Design programmes are tailored to encourage students to consider the environmental impact of their work and to explore sustainable approaches to art and design practice. This includes using eco-friendly materials, exploring new technologies that can reduce waste, and promoting awareness of environmental issues through their creative work.
Therefore, we emphasise the importance of creativity as a force for positive social and environmental change which highlights the University's commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and socially responsible community of artists and designers.
