Committed to Fairtrade

Aramark held stalls across our university and offered samples of Fairtrade products to staff and students. Aramark raised awareness of these products by labelling these on shop shelves so they stood out during Fairtrade Fortnight in all their catering outlets.

To mark the occasion, and celebrate our commitment to Fairtrade, UEL is now recognised as a Workplace of World Changers because we provide Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar at our Docklands campus. Stratford will soon be accredited also.

This recognition is helping to move us in the right direction so that, soon enough, we will be recognised with the full Fairtrade accreditation. Supporting Fairtrade shows that UEL wants to help with providing better incomes and working conditions for farmers and workers across the globe, and give them the chance to build a brighter future for their families and communities.
