UEL Community Garden
UEL Community Garden
Originally a student project, the garden had lain dormant for a few years before it was brought back to life.
Located between Redbridge and Marley student residences, the garden consists of eight outdoor beds as well as a polytunnel where garden volunteers grow their own vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs. Garden sessions are held year-round on Tuesdays at noon, and anyone from UEL is welcome to get involved.
The aim of the garden is to promote locally-grown, organic produce which reduces plastic waste generated from buying packaged food from the shops. We also want to encourage UEL staff and students from all different departments to meet and share in the fun and relaxation of working in a garden!
Email sustainability@uel.ac.uk if you would like to get involved!
