Data analysis and research

Strategic Planning analyses data and research to improve our understanding of UEL’s performance and market position. 

We have overall responsibility for management information, provide the university with an annual student population census and track performance against the University’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 

KPIs include performance on the National Students Survey (NSS), Progression, Retention, Student completion, Student: Staff ratios and the Destination of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE).

Internal planning processes

We manage internal planning processes including the annual planning round, student number forecasting, scenario planning and the implementation of the Corporate Plan. 
 
We also manage the submission of data to funders and agencies such as the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) Student Return,
