Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a powerful collaboration tool designed to help people work and learn together. It provides an online shared space where members can post messages, pictures, and links, and have threaded discussions.
It also serves as a central hub for shared documentation, making it simple to work together on Word documents, annotate images, and chat with team members.
Key features include:
- Team Chat: Send instant messages to individuals or groups.
- Online Meetings: Host text, audio, or video meetings directly within your team space.
- Integrated Office 365 Apps: Easily access other Office 365 apps like SharePoint, OneNote, Power BI, and Planner.
The University of East London uses Teams to deliver our Mental Wealth modules. The creation of Teams for all course modules is now fully automated, and both students and staff can create their own teams using a self-service option.
How do I get access to Teams
You can log in to Microsoft Teams using your UEL username and password. All students are automatically enrolled in their module teams, allowing you to immediately access course materials and other resources.
How do I create my own Team
All students and staff can create a team using the Teams app. More information on best practices and Teams naming conventions can be found on our Intranet page (please note you will need to be logged in to view the intranet pages).
