Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a collaboration tool designed to help people learn and work better together. It is an online shared space for teams where members can post messages, pictures and links with the ability to comment and discuss the things posted.
It also doubles as a place to store shared documentation and makes it easy to collaborate on Word documents, annotate images and chat with team members.
Features include:
- Team Chat - instant message individuals or groups
- Online Meetings - host text, audio or video team meetings within your team space.
- Integrated Office 365 apps - Office 365 apps are built in for easy access to SharePoint, OneNote, Power BI, Planner and more.
University of East London delivers Mental Wealth modules using Microsoft Teams. The creation of Teams for course modules is now fully automated and self-service creation of Teams is available for all students and staff.
How do I get access to Teams
You log in to Teams using your UEL username and password. All students are automatically enrolled on their module Team so you can browse and use resources for your course materials straight away.
How do I create my own Team
All students and staff can create a Team using the Teams app. More information on best practices and Teams naming conventions can be found on our Intranet page (please note you will need to be logged in to view the intranet pages).
