The foundation year will prepare your academic skills and understanding of social sciences allowing you to progress onto one of seven different social science undergraduate degree programmes at UEL. 

This course makes higher education truly accessible for people who do not have traditional qualifications or who did not achieve their potential in their school or college assessments.

By the end of the degree you will have gained the same qualification as those obtaining direct entry to BA (hons) courses but you’ll take one year longer to complete your studies. 

Past successful students have also moved onto other degree programmes both at UEL and at other universities throughout the UK.

I went from starting in September with a huge bout of imposter syndrome to finishing the year with tremendous confidence that I can actually go on and achieve a degree.
