Professional fitness and mental wealth
As the world changes, so must our approach to education. Our Professional Fitness and Mental Wealth programme is built into all our courses, giving students an holistic education that covers more than just textbook knowledge. We're preparing students for roles in new careers and emerging industries by giving them the broad skills they need to adapt and lead.
The programme covers three key areas:
- Individual intelligence - develop emotional, social, physical and cognitive intelligence to help you adapt.
- Digital proficiency - learn to use ICT effectively so you can keep up with a world that is dominated by new technology.
- Cultural intelligence - explore how to work effectively across cultures so you fit in wherever you work in the world.
What is a career passport?
The Career Passport provides proof of each skill that students have mastered as part of this programme. Some of these skills are validated externally by major corporations, such as Microsoft and Amazon. It goes above and beyond a traditional CV. It shows potential employers evidence of applied skills and competencies our students have perfected over the course of their degree.
We embrace entrepreneurs.
We support our students to start their own businesses with the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, our on-campus business incubation centre.
Connections across career zones
We want to help students change their lives and make a positive impact on the future world of work. Our impressive network spans the city - and the rest of the world.
Business, finance and entrepreneurship - developments in Docklands and Stratford, and global businesses in Canary Wharf.
Creative, media and entertainment - theatres and studios across London, BBC and other major media networks.
Digital, data, artificial intelligence - Ford, London City Airport and IT companies across the capital.
Health, sport and wellbeing - NHS trusts, Olympic Park and London Lions basketball.
Public service, justice and communities - Law courts, Met Police and thousands of schools across London.
We are proudly preparing our students for their future career by embedding unique and exciting professional fitness and mental wealth components in their programme of study. By doing this, we ensure that our students acquire the necessary skills to reach their potential and flourish in their career."
