I decided to do Accounting and Finance because I wanted to be rich. I've always wanted to travel and meet new people and you need a lot of capital to do that. Although I may be shy initially, talking to people really brings me out of my shell. I have a methodical and regimented way of thinking and enjoy analysing charts and graphs. So that is why I picked it.

It has its challenges. It is a bit like Marmite, some people hate it and others love it. For me, I really love it and I am only in my first year.

I was born in Ghana and I moved to the UK when I was seven so my memory is quite foggy at that time. My mum is Ghanaian, and my dad is Nigerian, but I can't speak either language. I grew up in London. I'm a Londoner. I have a little brother who is turning ten next year and an older sister in Ghana who is training to be a midwife.

I had a normal childhood, and I was happy. I live in south-east London which is multi-cultural. I remember playing a lot with the other kids in my neighbourhood.

Growing up always thought I wanted to get married and have children but now I don't think I want that anymore.

Lockdown has changed me. I feel like a different person compared to three months ago. I've spent my time reading a lot, challenging my perception of the world and learning new things. The brutal murder of George Floyd has shocked me into understanding how my race impacts my life. I have learnt a lot about myself.

I have been reading journals and texts about structural inequality in the UK. It is something that people don't talk about enough. I have been making infographics as well so people around me can see and learn too. I have been reading a lot of philosophy. Beyond Good and Evil by German philosopher Nietzsche, I think was my most challenging book to date. It changed my perception of good and evil.
