Researcher Development Programme
UEL is committed to supporting the personal, professional and career development of its researchers. The UEL Researcher Development Programme is a lively programme of workshops designed to meet the needs of postgraduate research students and research-active staff.
For postgraduate research students, we cover the basics like how to get started with doctoral research, how to write your thesis and how to prepare for your viva. We also offer workshops on project-management in the research environment, making the most of academic conferences, presenting your research and all the other transferable skills that postgraduate researchers need to succeed.
For staff, we offer workshops on bidding for research funding, getting published, public engagement, PGR supervision, research leadership and so on. Many of the workshops on the Researcher Development Programme are open to mixed audiences of staff and students, too, covering topics such as research integrity, speed-reading, creativity and the like.
If you have any queries about the Researcher Development Programme, you can contact Dr Tom Rusbridge on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to welcoming you into our research community and helping to support your professional development!
