Insurance Services at the University of East London
UEL Insurance arranges cover for the University's property, motor vehicles and for students and staff travelling on UEL business, as well as looking after legal liabilities such as employers' liability and professional indemnity. Specific 'ad-hoc' covers are also arranged and the claims associated with all polices are processed by the Insurance team.
UEL's Insurance is managed by the The Head of Facilities in the Estates and Facilities Services and the general roles of the UEL Insurance Team are:
- To provide general advice and information on UEL insurance matters
- To arrange insurance cover on behalf of the University and its subsidiary undertakings
- To oversee insurance claims affecting the University and its subsidiary undertakings
- The University's Insurance cover is updated at least once each year, so please ensure you regularly check that you have the most current information, particularly after 1 August, our annual renewal date.
