Why did you choose to study at UEL?
The rate of student satisfaction on the Guardian website. Also, I was amazed by the quality of UEL accommodation, where it was one of the few universities to have on-campus accommodation.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
Walking with my roommates along the Thames Riverside is an unforgettable memory for me and engaging with hundreds of students from different backgrounds. It was a great experience in my life!!
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I have continued to work in both engineering and marketing sectors. I have also been working on doing more research in Structural Engineering for the dream of continuing my PhD study in UEL again!
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
My role is that of a Structural Engineer Designer. It is all about designing stable reinforced concrete and steel structure buildings following the Eurocodes standards and roles.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
By helping me boost my knowledge in engineering and the great development in my personality and self-confidence that UEL staff have given to me.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Focusing on finding the right place to study and people in the community who are committed to their roles and right life altitudes to inspire you more.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Be more engaged with UEL Career Zone staff as their capabilities are amazing in terms of building up your resume, cover letter as well as preparing you for life, job interview skills.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know:
I love to keep trying for anything I want, and most importantly, I never surrender about anything I dreamed of but has not happened whether a job or life possessions!
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
There are a huge competition between the UK universities. But, UEL is a very spectacular one as their staff is very helpful and friendly as I got the opportunity to work as a student ambassador.
