Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I chose to study MSc Big Data Technologies at the University of East London because UEL provided the perfect platform to develop my skills in Big Data Technologies while preparing me for future challenges within the industry.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
One special memory of my time at UEL was the sense of connection and community I felt, even while studying remotely.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
Since graduating from UEL, I have focused on further developing my skills and gaining practical experience in data science. I completed a comprehensive Data Science Bootcamp.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
My current job role is ‘Technical Sales Manager’.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
UEL played a crucial role in shaping my career by providing a strong foundation in Big Data and equipping me with the skills needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of data science.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Technology and data science evolve quickly, so continue learning new skills, especially in programming and tools that are constantly changing. Always be curious and seek new challenges.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Networking can open doors to job opportunities, mentorship, and collaborations that could help you grow in your career.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
I have a strong foundation in both the technical and academic realms, and I thrive in environments that offer challenges, allowing I to continuously grow and develop in areas like data and technology.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
UEL offered me the chance to develop a solid foundation in Big Data Technology and supported my academic growth with a remote learning feature.
