Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I chose to study at UEL because of the high-quality education and diverse programmes offered, which align with career growth. UEL has a strong faculty with accreditation on many courses which influenced my decision to choose it. There are many networking opportunities for students, as well as alumni connections which enhance future career prospects.

My time was special due to the engaging research work and enriching group discussions which helped expand both my knowledge and perspective in many areas.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
Since graduating in 2023 from the course MSc Information Security and Digital Forensics, I have excelled as an Information Security Consultant, safeguarding organisations and implementing robust strategies and security frameworks. Some examples of these include ISO 27001, NIST and NIS-RI and enhancing cybersecurity.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
My current job role is Information Security/GRC Consultant. I am responsible for stakeholder management and delivering cyber security controls. I also look after audit and assurance, enterprise risk assessment and cyber security initiatives.

UEL helped me by elevating my skills and broadening my horizons. It empowered me to excel within my chosen field, contributing to my personal growth and success. My course increased my visibility in the UK infosec domain.

I would advise my younger self to pursue your dreams by investing in education, whilst embracing challenges and self-growth. It is important to seek guidance, always believe in your potential and persevere through challenges.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
I would advise current students to prioritise self-growth and focus on this as success does not come easily for the unprepared.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
Most people do not know that I am a serial investor and entrepreneur. I enjoy investing in startups and watching them grow with less interference, whilst gaining a ‘return on investment’.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Yes, I will choose UEL again. In fact, I still plan on pursuing a PhD programme at UEL.
