Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I chose to study MA English Language Teaching at UEL because of its strong reputation and the opportunity to learn from a diverse and experienced faculty. UEL's vibrant international community fascinated me and was a key deciding factor in my choice.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
While I was a student at UEL, a particularly proud moment for me was being elected as the class representative. It was a great opportunity to bridge the gap between students and the faculty.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
Since graduating from UEL, I have freelanced as an English trainer for various companies and colleges and worked as a trainer for ACCESS, sponsored by the US Consulate, teaching and empowering students.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
My current job is as a ‘Learning and Development Associate’ at a software company called ‘Apsolut Software’, based in India.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
UEL equipped me with essential teaching and communication skills, fostering confidence and leadership. These skills have been crucial in my role as a ‘Learning and Development Associate’ at ‘Apsolut Software’.
What advice would you give your younger self?
I would advise my younger self not to be afraid to take risks and trust your abilities. I believe that every experience, good or bad, will help you grow both personally and professionally.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
I would advise UEL current students to ensure they network actively, seek internships, and build practical skills. It is important to stay open to learning and be able to adapt to changes. Your degree is a foundation, but continuous growth and resilience will drive your success.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
Most people don’t know that I developed a deep love for London while studying there. I would love to visit again soon if I had the financial means.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
UEL provided a rich and diverse learning environment and the faculty significantly contributed to my growth. I would choose UEL again for the same transformative experience.
