Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I chose UEL for its diversity and renowned MSc in Pharmaceutical Science. The inclusive curriculum, hands-on labs, and vibrant London location make it perfect for my academic and cultural growth.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
Walking alongside the beautiful river view of the Docklands campus on my first day, in disbelief that I am finally living out my dream. It’s a feeling I will never forget. Whilst I was at UEL I took the initiative to establish the Pharmaceutical Science Society, engaging MSc students in various scientific activities, which is also a fond memory of mine.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
Since completing my studies, I have been busy updating my CV, taking courses at a well-known pharmaceutical consultation company in Jordan, and showing some love to my mental health! It’s important to always give yourself a break.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I secured my first job as a Key Account Officer at a Swiss Pharma company. The role involves building client relationships to maximise satisfaction and growth through excellent communication.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
My time at UEL helped me become more adaptable while using the pharmaceutical knowledge I gained from my master’s degree to support my conversations with professionals; these are skills that have been crucial for my journey.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Take everything one step at a time. You don't need to be the best right away. Embrace learning and growth and be kind to yourself along the way.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Don't hesitate to introduce yourself and meet new people. Networking before graduation is crucial, so embrace every moment because you'll long for these times to return.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
I have a habit of associating perfumes with places. One bottle reminds me vividly of the UEL campus, bringing back memories of its lively vibe.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
If I had the chance to choose again, I would go with UEL 100 times over. It was where I created unforgettable memories and gained industry knowledge from exceptional professors in my field.
