Why did you choose to study at UEL?
The University of East London has a very strong school of sciences, and I wanted to study under the best minds in the country. It offered the specialisation I was seeking and increased my knowledge.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
As an international student, UEL propelled me to get a top position of a job opportunity in a multinational firm listed on the London Stock Exchange, which was definitely a highlight of my experience.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
Having completed my studies, I work full-time as an ERP Finance Lead Consultant. That was possible because I was equipped with the professional expertise needed to develop and grow in my career.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
ERP Finance Lead Consultant
Lead Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance Consultant developing Microsoft Dynamics Business Central solutions for IKEA retailers worldwide.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
Having taken a proactive role in learning, I was also engaged with a lot of opportunities to connect with people from a different spectrum of diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Focus on one thing at a time. You can have it all in life, but not all at once. And if you don't keep your focus right, you might not achieve anything.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Do not procrastinate, expand your knowledge, stay up to date and it's never too late to start.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know:
I am left-handed and an avid lover of table tennis.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Yes, surely I would, it was a once-in-a-lifetime and life-changing experience.
