Why did you choose to study at UEL?
Back in the day, around 2007/8, project management tools and techniques weren't taught by many universities as degree modules, UEL was probably the only one offering an MSc at that time. Amazing faculty.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
Had many special memories at the beautiful Docklands campus but it has to be our final project for the MSc Project Management where we had to host the annual event at the campus. Amazing memories.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
After graduation, I came back to Pakistan and worked for one of the biggest telecom operators for six years and am currently working in the renewable energy industry for Sky Electric Inc. as Director of Marketing.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
Director of Marketing
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
My biggest learning through the course was to be able to understand how to deliver tasks/projects/programmes on time as delivery matters the most. As someone who is a doer, this helped me achieve almost everything.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Live for each day positively and always keep learning. Appreciate your seniors, tutors and their experience which will remain with you forever. Don't miss out on catching up with people that matter.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Make the most of your time in this beautiful and great university (Learn and live). What we achieve at present will only reflect in the future when we look back at the times passed by.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know:
The mentionable thing would be that I spend time planning things which for me is the most important of all before doing anything. People might take it as indecisiveness but it's not. You need to be correct
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Yes, definitely with better planning to make the most of my time at the university. Although we had a blast back then as well.
