OVERVIEW
My work is relational: I connect people, places and ideas, and centre justice, kindness and respect in my teaching, research and leadership. My research and publications explore the lived experiences of young refugees and migrants, particularly undocumented young people, alongside relational and reflexive praxis.
As Director of Careers & Enterprise, I convene the School of Childhood and Social Care Industry Advisory Board, connecting the University with local and national voluntary, statutory and third-sector organisations.
I am Co-Editor-in-Chief of *Communities of Care: An International Journal of Transdisciplinary Relational Practice* and a member of the Editorial Board for *Patterns of Practice: An International Journal of Scholarship of Teaching & Learning*. I am also a member of the University of Sanctuary Working Group and was previously Director of the Open Learning Initiative (OLIve) at UEL.
Before joining academia, I worked in the youth and community sector. From 2000 to 2013, I was Founder and Director of Dost Centre for Young Refugees & Migrants, where I led the development of a 360° relationship-based model of psychosocial support for unaccompanied minors.
